Ethics & Compliance Program

At Allegion, we’re proud to stand for safety and security. Our products protect millions of people every day, all over the world. Just as Allegion takes pride in protecting individuals and businesses across the globe, we are also dedicated to protecting our valuable brand, reputation and employees. Our Ethics & Compliance Program is structured to help us engage ethically not only with our internal employees, but with external business partners and communities as well.

Oversight

Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) – The CCO reports to Allegion’s CEO and the Audit and Finance Committee of the Allegion Board. On a regular basis, the CCO provides the Audit & Finance Committee with updates on the state of the Ethics & Compliance Program.

Global Ethics & Compliance Team – Our team is comprised of regional representatives with hands-on participation in the day-to-day business, working together to coordinate a cohesive program tailored to meet the needs and risks at each of our locations. The Global Ethics & Compliance Team reports to Allegion’s CCO.

Written Standards

Allegion uses our Code of Conduct, Business Partner Code of Conduct and policies (such as our internal Gifts, Entertainment, Donations and Sponsorship Policy, our internal Speaking Up Policy and our Anti-Human Trafficking Statement) to communicate expected behaviors. We set clear standards in our policies for employees and ask each of them to follow our eight core values.

Education & Communication

As the building blocks of Allegion’s Ethics & Compliance Program, education and communication are some of the most important aspects the CCO emphasizes. From the first day at our company, each employee is taught what it means to work for a leading safety and security company and how we expect them to act both as a colleague and as our representative.

Auditing & Monitoring

Regular auditing, monitoring and assessment activities are conducted to evaluate and monitor the program. The results of the reviews are reported to senior management, the Executive Leadership Team and the Audit & Finance Committee of the Allegion Board.

Responding to Potential Issues

As part of our commitment to responsible business practices and living our core values, Allegion expects employees and business partners to follow the standards set out in our Code of Conduct and Business Partner Code of Conduct. Any concerns or violations are reviewed on a case by case basis.

Ethics HelpLine

Allegion’s Ethics HelpLine is available to both employees and outside parties to report potential or actual concerns and questions. Call our helpline at 1-800-461-9330 or reach us via email at ethicsandcompliance@allegion.com. Concerns are always confidential, and if you choose, you may report your concern anonymously.
