Allegion Americas Honored with Top Prize for Talent Engagement at Manufacturing Leaders Awards

The black-tie event hosted by Manufacturing Leaders celebrated outstanding achievement in the manufacturing industry across six categories, with finalists from leading global organizations. The “Talent Engagement” category recognizes those companies that have attracted and nurtured competition-beating talent, strengthened their position by developing leaders and maintained an engaged and diverse workforce for the future.

Allegion won with a talent management project from its Princeton, Ill., manufacturing facility. This project demonstrated how Allegion overcame the difficulty of resourcing talent in a remote and rural area with outstanding results: A highly engaged internal workforce; increased capability of employees; and expanded involvement with high school and college students.

“I couldn’t be more proud of our team in Princeton – from our HR business partners to our operations managers and team leads, everyone there has a role in attracting the right people and caring for them in a way that sets Allegion apart as an employer of choice in the manufacturing industry,” said Chris Muhlenkamp, Allegion senior vice president of global operations and integrated supply chain. “What’s more, they’ve been innovative in creating the community partnerships necessary to our success in attracting local talent for the future.”

The same talent management project also won Allegion a “Manufacturer of the Year” nomination through Manufacturing Leaders, and the company took home a “Highly Commended” certificate for this category. A team from Princeton – including HR Manager Jan Bonucci, Plant Manager Chris Dybek, HR Manager Sarah Krisch, Operations Supervisor Jon Ransom and Maintenance Leader Greg Whightsil – accepted both awards on behalf of Allegion.

Manufacturing Leaders CEO Omri Nevat said, “The calibre of nominations from all of our finalists was outstanding, which makes the achievements of the winners and runners up that much more exceptional. The event was truly inspiring, and we look forward to celebrating upcoming achievements next year.”
