Allegion Chairman, President and CEO Dave Petratis as well as Senior Vice President and President of the Americas Tim Eckersley attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“Allegion Americas is honored to support Habitat for Humanity in Indianapolis,” said Eckersley. “The work Habitat does to help local families become homeowners is inspiring – and this long-standing partnership aligns closely with our vision to make the world safer by securing the places where people thrive. In the future, we plan to expand our support to this great organization in other communities where we operate.”
The 2016 Allegion Americas sponsored project is a single-family, two-story home. In addition, Allegion Americas is the sole provider of all locks and levers needed for Habitat builds in Hancock, Marion and Hendricks counties. This year that amounted to hardware for 21 projects including the “Ag Build” at the Indiana State Fair.
“Each year, the generosity of Allegion’s employees and leaders helps provide the life-changing opportunity of homeownership to a local family,” said President and CEO of Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity Jim Morris. “Over our eight-year partnership, Allegion has expanded their support to include donations of quality household products to help lower the cost of construction and for use in our ReStore, home improvement thrift store. Each year we’re amazed by the collaboration and dedication of Allegion’s team to our mission and their community.”
In 2015, Allegion Americas also began supplying renovated hardware to Habitat ReStore outlets across the United States and, this year, donated nearly $1 million retail value to them. In 2014, Allegion Americas was named the Habitat Legacy Corporate Partner of the Year for Central Indiana.
