Serve Others, Not Yourself: Allegion’s 2025 Community Service Initiatives

Guided by Allegion’s core value, “Serve others, not yourself,” service is at the heart of Allegion’s culture.

Guided by Allegion’s core value, “Serve others, not yourself,” service is at the heart of Allegion’s culture. In 2025, employees around the world supported local organizations and initiatives through donations, engagement and countless volunteer hours. Whether donating products, distributing meals or building homes, Allegion’s teams met the needs of their communities both through company-led programs and grassroots efforts by individuals.

We’re honored to support our global communities — not only by making the world safer and more accessible, but also through the passion and service of our people. We empower employees to identify local needs and make a difference where they live, learn, work and connect.

Learn about a few of the ways we served our communities in 2025.

Allegion serves our local communities

Ronald McDonald House: Allegion partners annually with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana to support the Meals That Heal program. “This day provides a unique opportunity to bring interns from various functions across the organization together to serve a greater good in the community,” says Kelley S., early careers and outreach manager, Allegion Americas. “It’s a chance to step outside of our daily roles and work collectively toward making a positive impact, reminding us that even a small amount of our time can make a big difference in the lives of others.”

Allegion has regularly partnered with Gleaners Food Bank for three years. Throughout the year, Allegion team members volunteer at Gleaners to distribute meals to Indiana residents in need.

Our long-time partnership with Habitat for Humanity

While we serve our communities through several programs across the globe, one organization holds a special place in our hearts: Habitat for Humanity, where we help build safe, secure homes. Each year, Allegion employees dedicate resources and volunteer hours to support local Habitat chapters.

Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity: For 17 years, Allegion has partnered with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity to serve the Indianapolis community near our Americas headquarters in Carmel, Indiana. Since 2009, Allegion has contributed $1.9 million, volunteered approximately 26,091 hours and donated $387,088 worth of products to the Habitat ReStore, supporting the construction of 479 homes and counting in the Greater Indianapolis area.

In 2025, Allegion completed our 11th panel build in the Allegion parking lot, helping complete our 17th home with Greater Indy Habitat.

This year was especially exciting with the launch of Devon Creek, Greater Indy Habitat’s first full-scale subdivision development in Marion County in 25 years. Allegion proudly serves as the future builder sponsor for this project, which will provide 10 affordable homes to first-time homebuyers — addressing the critical shortage of affordable housing. Learn more about this initiative here.

Our teams also took part in other Greater Indy home builds throughout the year, including an August 2025 project where our Zentra team helped build a home for a local family.

“Being on site with so many Zentra and Allegion volunteers was a great way to connect with each other as humans for such an important mission,” says Scott S., team lead of user experience (UX) design, Zentra. “Most meaningful of all, spending time with the woman whose house we were helping build was so special. We all connected over her story and how hard she is working to create a better life for her family.”

In April 2025, our Allegion’s Ensenada, Mexico, team had the special opportunity to help build a colleague’s home in Ensenada. Together, they poured over 50 square meters of concrete.

Habitat for Humanity Australia: Allegion Australia proudly supports Habitat for Humanity Australia through donations and volunteer hours. In 2025, employees participated in the Brush With Kindness program — an initiative aimed at assisting homeowners who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes, ensuring families live in safe and well-maintained homes.

Our local Habitat for Humanity chapters: In addition to our larger partnerships, Allegion teams worldwide volunteer with local Habitat for Humanity chapters year-round. In November 2025, the LCN manager team helped build the first Habitat home in Princeton, Illinois, constructing landings, hanging fixtures and installing siding.
