Susan (Sue) L. Main

Sue Main is a member of the Board of Directors at Allegion. 

An expert in audit and finance, Sue’s professional career spans private and public companies as well as commercial, government and industrial sectors across global markets. She has substantial international and M&A experience at diversified high-tech manufacturing businesses.

Since 2012, Sue has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of publicly traded Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, a leading provider of sophisticated digital imaging products and software, instrumentation, aerospace and defense electronics and engineered systems. As CFO, she has led and developed a best-in-class finance organization that’s supported significant growth for the company, with experience ranging from international finance and financial reporting, audit and compliance to M&A and enterprise risk management. Prior to becoming CFO, Sue was vice president and controller of Teledyne Technologies for eight years.

Sue additionally served as vice president and controller at Water Pik Technologies, Inc. from its inception in 1999 until 2004. Earlier in her career, she held financial and audit roles of increasing responsibility at the former Allegheny Teledyne Inc. as well as the former Hughes Aircraft Company. 

Today, Sue is also on the board of directors at Ashland Inc., an additives and specialty ingredients company that serves customers in a wide range of consumer and industrial markets, including architectural coatings, construction, energy, food and beverage, nutraceuticals, personal care and pharmaceutical. She formerly served as a director for Garrett Motion Inc.

Sue is a member of both the National Association of Corporate Directors and Women Corporate Directors. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Sue has a B.A. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.   

The Board has determined that Sue meets the qualifications of an “audit committee financial expert” under the applicable U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations.
