Hatsuki blends creativity with a critical mind and discipline to think outside the box to solve problems. As principal at Allegion Ventures, she seeks to understand the core essence of a business and the strengths of their management team. She sees Allegion Ventures as a win-win-win for Allegion, innovation and technology, and our portfolio companies – and loves the collaborative aspect of this exciting endeavor.

In this capacity, Hatsuki directly supports the Board of Directors and plays a leadership role in ensuring compliance with public company reporting requirements and SEC rules, managing the ESG Council, providing strategic advice and counsel cross-functionally on corporate governance, tax/treasury matters and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), managing the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and preparing and ensuring the delivery of quality materials for the Board, as well as its Committees and shareholders of the Company.

Prior to joining Allegion, Hatsuki developed her skills and expertise in-house at a Fortune 100 global consumer products company. She has extensive experience in corporate and governance matters, securities filings, compliance, M&A, labor and employment law, advertising law and commercial matters.

Outside of work, Hatsuki enjoys learning about the craftmanship behind unique barrels/bottles of whiskey and bourbon, gardening and writing fiction – a natural outlet for her creativity. She is also a lifetime member of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Hatsuki has an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, an LLM from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Law and Politics and a Bachelor of Laws from Keio University (Tokyo, Japan).
