Kemp is among an elite list of 15 total honorees, earning this year’s top title for the public companies category, which had three honorees. The IBJ and Techpoint accepted nominations for this award for “men and women who excel at using technology to help their employers achieve their strategic goals.” Allegion Chairman, President and CEO Dave Petratis nominated her for the award.
“Tracy is an essential part of my leadership team – having not only led the transition process of IT infrastructure during Allegion’s formation as a standalone company, but also continually driving top-tier engagement of her organization and helping pave the way for Allegion’s global digital transformation,” Petratis said. “From the beginning, Tracy has gone above and beyond the expectations placed on her. There’s no question that her innovation has inspired improved processes and products at Allegion. I’m proud to have her on my team.”
Petratis noted that Kemp has made the following positive impacts at Allegion, among others:
Kemp accepted the honor on Thursday morning at a ceremony in downtown Indianapolis, near Allegion’s Americas Headquarters in Carmel, Ind. Upon receiving the award, she noted that her family is her biggest inspiration, and that teamwork is what really drives Allegion’s IT successes.
“My team – Allegion’s IT Team – is very important to me. I believe that the most important part of technology is the people and, as a leader, my job is to create an environment where people want to work and where they do their best work,” Kemp said. “Together, we’re breaking down barriers for the business and finding new applications for technologies.”
