Dean Schaffer is a member of the Board of Directors at Allegion. 

Dean spent the last 39 years of his career with Ernst & Young LLP, an international public accounting firm. During his time there, he served on Ernst & Young’s Americas Executive Board, as the co-lead of the Americas Office of the Chairman Global Accounts Network and as senior partner in the New York office, where he worked with many of the firm’s largest clients.

Dean's impressive academic credentials include an MBA from the School of Management at Boston University; a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the School of Management at Boston University; and a Masters of Taxation from the Graduate Tax Program at Bentley College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), certified in both New York and Massachusetts.

Dean also has significant teaching experience, including being an adjunct assistant professor in the Masters of Science and Taxation program at Bentley College and an instructor at Boston University's School of Management.
