Carla Cico is a member of the Board of Directors at Allegion.
She also serves on the Board of Directors at Alcatel-Lucent and World Duty Free.
Previously, Carla was chief executive officer of Rivoli S.p.A., a prefabricated infrastructure company, from 2009 to 2011. Through her experience leading Rivoli S.p.A., Carla possesses a deep understanding of the building and construction industries and has direct knowledge of application expertise, regulatory requirements and complex configurations from working with architects, contractors and engineers to adhere to specific safety requirements.
Before Rivoli S.p.A., Carla was chief executive officer at Ambrosetti Consulting. Earlier, she was chief executive officer of Brazil Telecom, guiding the corporation to a place on the New York Stock Exchange.
Carla began her career with Italtel in 1987 as chief representative in the Beijing office.
Carla was cited as one of the most powerful women in international business in Forbes (1994) and Fortune(1995).
She received a bachelor’s degree in oriental languages with a specialization in Chinese politics and economics from the University of Venice and a master’s degree in business from the University of London. She also has a master’s degree in business administration from the London Business School, Sloan Program.
