Melbourne, Australia (10 October 2016) – Allegion presents the all-new design Briton B1413 panic exit device external trim. The upgraded product comes with a host of innovative features, including a more compact designer plate, return-to-door lever handles, and anti-vandal design.

The Briton B1413 is an important component of Briton exit devices, which are suitable for the commercial, educational, healthcare and transportation sectors. The external trim allows re-entry through emergency exit doors from the outside without compromising the security of the building.

The B1413 is designed around the needs of facilities managers, maintenance supervisors or building security by allowing them to control movements from egress and ingress around the building. The new design increases the external trim’s strength and performance. The range now offers enhanced security with multiple key functions, which can ensure that the door cannot be left unlocked. Anti-vandal design lever/knob plate prevent damage to the exit device trim, in the event of break-ins.

The upgraded Briton B1413 requires minimum ongoing maintenance and is easy to retrofit. The new B1413 can be retrofitted where existing 1413E models are installed, without leaving any exposed fixing holes.

The Briton B1413 can be installed on either single or double doors, with door thicknesses of 40mm to 100mm. They are supplied complete with a Euro profile standard cylinder, with the option for keyed alike or master keyed. The lever trim can be easily handed on site to requirements. B1413 is compatible with Briton 376, 560 and 570 Series exit devices.
